Salaam Fi Bet

#SalaamFiBet (Peace at Home) is a project that strive for a more peaceful and inclusive society by enhancing intercultural dialogue, social cohesion, positive masculinity, peacebuilding and cultural diversity. The project engages various groups and individuals in the country, such as youth, women, religious leaders, media professionals and civil society organizations in different activities and platforms that foster mutual understanding, respect and cooperation. The project also tackle the issue of social media hate speech and its negative effects on social harmony and human rights. The project monitor, Fact check and counter hate speech online, and educate and empower the public to use social media responsibly and constructively. The project use a combination of approaches such as art, media, education and advocacy to achieve its objectives. The project also established a network of peace ambassadors who promote the values and principles of #SalaamFiBet (peace at home) in their communities. The project align with the Sustainable Development Goals, especially Goal 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions and Goal 17 Partnership for sustainable development.

StoryLab

Storylab is a project that aims to equip youth with the skills and knowledge to create and share their own stories using various media platforms and tools. The project trains youth on media literacy, podcasting, script writing, content development and management, digital marketing, social media management, blogging, radio presenting and filmmaking. The project also provide youth with the opportunity to showcase their work and connect with other media professionals and enthusiasts. The project empower youth to become active and responsible media producers and consumers, and to use their voices and talents to express themselves and address the issues that matter to them. The project contribute to the development of the media sector and the promotion of youth participation and civic engagement in the country.

Female Entrepreneurs Support Programme

The Female Entrepreneur Support Program (FESP) is a collaborative initiative by TechQuest STEM Academy (Nigeria) and Junub Open Space (South Sudan) that aims to provide capability building training, business support coaching and mentorship for females intending to go into business, nascent female-led start-ups and entrepreneurs. Particular focus are on women-led startups and female entrepreneurs with the aim to provide support and build capacities in terms of knowledge, skills and networks, to access markets, and promote innovations through networking, mentorship and our business clinic. The initiative is intended to inspire, educate, empower and support female entrepreneurs.

Economic Empowerment

Economic Empowerment is a project that aims to improve the livelihoods and well-being of vulnerable and marginalized groups in the country. The project will provide training, mentoring and financial support to help them start and grow their own businesses and income-generating activities. The project will also link them with relevant markets, networks and services to enhance their access to opportunities and resources. The project will target groups such as women, youth, refugees, persons with disabilities and ethnic minorities, who face multiple barriers and challenges in achieving economic independence and security. The project will empower them to overcome poverty, inequality and exclusion, and to participate actively and productively in the society. The project will contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals, especially Goal 1: No Poverty and Goal 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth.
